  First Up: THE Ohio State
THE Illini begin defense of their Big Ten title against THE Buckeyes of THE Ohio State tonight. THE Illini won both games against THE Buckeyes last season, including a memorable 64-63 win in Ohio on the last game of conference play to win the Big Ten title outright.

THE Illini surely must be going for the record of consecutive games played by a number one rated basketball team not shown on television. I'll be following the game on's Live Tracker here since ESPN elected to show the long-awaited matchup between THE Notre Dame and THE Seton Hall.

THE Illinois game notes can be found here.
