  History Watch Part I
Ten days before selection Sunday, NBC Sports asks the question that seems to be on everyone's mind and that is Can Illini join 'The Unbeatens?’ After reading the article you can vote in their poll. Still on the same site, Dan O'Neill says that the Illini don't need a loss. He writes: The Illini are undefeated because they have outstanding balance and versatility. They can play it half-court or full-court, fast or slow, nice or nasty. For their part, the team is now openly saying that 39-0 is the goal.

How do you pick one of the three guards for Big Ten Player of the Year and team MVP? Next week, 22 members of the media will do just that and there's no shortage of advice for them as Illini Wonk has detailed in an earlier post. Well, there's more. Mike DeCourcy says Their accomplishments are hard to separate. The team is splitting their MVP award among all three.

Senior Day

Profiles of the seniors here, here and here. Nick Smith says the odds are on Roger Powell to cry. Smith's record at Illinois is 130-31.
